Síos ag an loch
You tried everything
Yes, a thousand times
Experienced enough
Been through enough
But it was you who let everything
Into my heart
and it was you who once again
Awoke my spirit

Showcasing the beauty and talent of a number of the best midland creatives and vendors in a rock the frock style photo shoot. A modern day Celtic bride was created by taking inspiration from the local landscape and the Irish folklore of the midlands
Bernadette O’ Driscoll of HOB Makeup Artistry and Verona McQuaid of Verona Photography collaborated to explore the beauty of the mystical Lough Derravaragh. Taking inspiration from the landscape to style and shoot this concept we used a palette of deep berry tones with using native flowers and luscious greens allowed the creation of a modern day Celtic bride.
The vibrant woodlands surrounding the lake provided the perfect backdrop to commence the shoot. Beautiful lanterns provided by CardsbyeEilish enhanced the romantic feel of the shoot.
The stunning flowers and headpiece were created by Ally in Waterlilly Florist. Ally created this stunning bouquet using cornflower, thistle astilbe, siergrass, asparagus, limonium, eustoma, skimmia, eucalyptus and wild rose berries. The head piece was made White September, Gypsophilia, Limonium, Asparagus and Thistle.
Jasmine Boutique added timeless and elegant touches with jewelry and luxurious fur wrap.
To match the modern Celtic bride theme The White Room collaborated by providing the stunning Daalarna gown. This gown was complemented with hair styling by DeeTangled and a makeup look created by HOB Makeup Artistry.
Through the forest we meandered to the lakeside where we were surrounded with the beauty of Lough Derravaragh.
